First Moscow buses start running Monday with Wi-Fi onboard
MOSCOW, Feb 1 (PRIME) -- First buses in Moscow with Wi-Fi onboard started circulating on Monday, the press office of Mosgortrans, operator of onland public transport in the capital, said in a statement.
“The capital saw today a start of a big-scale project aimed at making onland transport more appealing and trips more convenient and comfortable,” Mosgortrans’s General Director Yevgeny Mikhailov said.
“Constant access to the network will allow every passenger to usefully spend the time en route by chatting with friends in social networks, writing business letters and getting desired information in the Internet.”
All Moscow buses, trolleybuses and trams on 800 routes will be equipped with Wi-Fi by the end of 2016, he said.
